Trend Alert: 21 Cool Air Plant Ideas for your Wedding
via
I remember air plants being really popular in the nineties.
My parents had lots of them hanging up around the house, and I recall their spindly texture, varied green and grey hues, and the fact that they didn't need a whole lot of water or attention.
And as with so many trends from the nineties, (perms, crop tops and choker necklaces) air plants are making a comeback.
And unlike velour tracksuits, ying yang rings and sparkly eyeshadow - we're very excited about this resurgence, because air plants just happen to be beautiful for weddings.

Coming in lots of varieties, (xerographica, scaposa, argentea and fasciculata are among the most common) air plants can grow and live without soil, making them perfect for long lasting bouquets and prep-in-advance wedding decor.
Versatile and hardy, they're catching up with succulents as a stand alone, stylish plant for weddings. They work for bouquets, garland runners, or terrariums, or as an adornment on favours, buttonholes, wedding cakes and even hairstyles.
If you're looking for some greenery that's minimal and modern, but still creates lots of interesting texture, air plants might be right for you.
