Modern and Minimalistic Wedding: Shamim + Paul

Modern and Minimalistic Wedding: Shamim + Paul

via

Simple, modern and elegant. Those are the words that photographer Meg Souder from Love is a Big Deal used to describe this wedding. And boy, was she right. She shares Shamim + Paul's wedding was perfectly styled without "over styling" it; it was minimalist and simple, but in a very thought-out kind of way. The bride's dress was the perfect combination of sexy and classy... Is that even possible? Her bushel bouquet was my favorite.

We couldn't agree more! Held at the Prospect House in Austin, Texas, the refined elements of the wedding made everything clean and beautiful and truly kept the focus on the bride + groom! Shamim + Paul share It's hard to not keep everyone else in mind especially when having a destination wedding... However, from the beginning, we decided that creating a day together and truly making it US was key.

Simple as that. Ready to see more?

Shamim: Gosh, so many moments... The whole day just felt surreal and like a dream. I think the moment before we were walked out together for our ceremony - I remember feeling so nervous/excited and Paul just gave me his hand and the amount of trust and love I felt was sky high. It felt like the beginning of a journey and I was ready for anything.

Paul: The anticipation of seeing Shamim for the first time is something I will never forget. I remember sitting with my brother and cousin in the waiting room and just dreaming of seeing her for the first time in her dress. I felt like I was waiting for my life to begin for the first time.

The lovely bride is wearing a simple + chic gown by Nicole Miller.

This handsome man wore none other than Burberry on his wedding day.

Processional: Blackbird by The Beatles + Intermission by Coeur de Pirate

Recessional: This Must be the Place by Talking Heads

First Dance: Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow by Amy Winehouse

THIS! You can seriously feel their genuine joy + happiness through the photo!!

Such a sweet shot.

We're loving the way they creatively displayed the menu with this window pane from Boarding School Collective.

Heavenly Day Events helped the couple bring their ideas to life and make sure the day ran smoothly!

We ADORE this minimal tablescape, accented by florals + lavender napkins.

How cool is this?! And look at those floral accents by Remi and Gold!

Do what feels right for both of you - stay authentic and inspired! Don't expect anything to be perfect, have a ton of fun, don't forget your intention, and don't get too caught up in Pinterest!

Shamim + Paul, a huge congrats to the both of you from us here at GWS!
