Pretty Afternoon Tea Garden Wedding Inspiration

Pretty Afternoon Tea Garden Wedding Inspiration

via

You know we love to indulge our inner hopeless romantics from time to time, and today's super pretty inspiration shoot does exactly that.

This gorgeous garden wedding is doused in all things floral, feminine and sugar sweet, but laced with plenty of style and lots of ideas too.

Join us for an especially chic afternoon tea, with , Lilian of Just Merried Events, and their team of inspired California wedding vendors.

With the beautiful Eden Gardens as their backdrop, this shoot could be just perfect without much decor at all.

But that didn't stop this teams of talents amping up the pretty factor even more, with luxurious florals (check out the table centrepiece and hanging ceremony backdrop), elegant tablescaping (I want that glass teacup for myself) and the most incredible dessert set-up (yum!).

As for the style, we just love these two dreamy wedding gowns, both showing entirely different ways to style your look in a classic, romantic way, along with fabulous hair, make-up and accessories.

Okay, enough of our gushing, scroll down to see for yourself, and read more about the ideas behind the shoot, from , and Lilian of Just Merried Events.

From the Photographer

When I approached Lilian to help design this shoot, I had a vision of a whimsical and romantic tea party set in the middle of a lush garden. We discussed the color palette consisting of soft pastels like pink, mauve and light blue that can be found throughout on the invitations, in the floral arrangements in the delicate details of the china and even in the first blush colored gown. We decided on two different bridal looks to compliment the many different settings in Eden Gardens. The first gown is soft and romantic complimented by a beautiful braided updo while the second look is a little more whimsical with the lace gown soft curls.

From the Stylist

When photographer Kate and I brainstormed for this inspiration shoot after having connected through Instagram (the power of social media in bringing likeminded people together!), we easily agreed that an "ethereal garden tea party" was precisely what we had in mind. Soft and romantic, elegant and light and airy, all set in a lush garden backdrop. Really, I think we just wanted to spend the day in a beautiful, serene garden and call it a day's work. Ultimately, our goal was to share our idea of a relaxed, low-key wedding experience, something that would engage the guests' senses and be absolutely enjoyable without being the elaborate, stressful production weddings sometimes end up being. We had so much fun assembling the details for this garden affair - some of my favorites included the two stunning yet understated gowns from Lovely Bride. A flowy, off-the-shoulder number in a soft, peachy blush by Sarah Seven (which just floated in the breeze) and an elegant yet playful sheer lace gown with leafy detailing by Rue de Seine that was absolutely stunning and fitting in the garden setting. Both of which were really quite comfy and lightweight - the antithesis of the ballroom wedding gown, perfect for the low-key bride. Playing vintage mix-and-match with Out of the Dust's furniture and Otis and Pearl's china and glassware was also quite exciting. In fact, the eclectic mixing of all the unique details, complemented by the organic floral design from Megan Elise Events, added an unexpected element of whimsy and lightheartedness to the overall vibe (a little mad hatter tea party inspiration, we'd like to think of it as). Even the take home favors for guests - small glass apothecary jars filled with loose tea leaves - continued the idea of "relax & enjoy" throughout the photoshoot. We think these photos capture the essence of a whimsical and romantic wedding that takes advantage of its magical, natural setting, and we hope that they inspire readers to plan their own garden tea party celebration, which will be equally enjoyable to plan as it is for guests to attend!

So. Much. Pretty. I'm just loving the teacup table styling, and both the florals and dresses are just stunning, perfect for an ultra romantic wedding. This would work so well for an elegant bridal shower tea too, don't you think?

Thanks so much to , Just Merried Events, and the rest of this crack team of vendors for sharing their beautiful wedding inspiration with us.
