Today we are featuring Elandré and Ruan's engagement shoot by Lilly Leigh Photography. After her dream proposal in Mozambique, these high school sweethearts are getting married in October 2017.

We were in the same high school and he was friends with one of my friends...always trying to get my attention when he walks past me and trying to greet me, but I wasn't really interested. Until one day he came to greet me, I could actually see that he's a nice guy. We went on dates, but nothing serious. He asked me to watch his rugby games and meet his parents. On the 28th of June 2009 he asked me to be his girlfriend - little did we know.

So, Mozambique is my favourite place to go on holiday. In 2015 we planned this amazing holiday in Ponta Molangane and I always told him that I wanted to get engaged there on the beach. On the 12th of December 2015 we set out for a stroll on the beach, and we walked FAR. The next moment rain came pouring down, I stood still and looked at the waves with my back towards Ruan. Just as I said to him that we should maybe head back as it was raining too hard, I turned around. And there he was - on his knee, and said : "As long as you marry me, everything will be okay". That is how our journey started.
