Luxurious Corfu Villa Wedding | Fly Away Bride

Michele and Sebastian's luxurious Corfu villa wedding was quite the adventure with the couple and their families arriving into Corfu on a cruise ship the day of their nuptials. You might then think that a quick trip to shore for a destination wedding wouldn't involved much more than a simple ceremony, portrait session and dinner.. I thought the same. But here I am, jaw to the floor, in absolute AWE of the detail that this amazing duo and their dream team of wedding vendors managed to put together for such a special occasion. Their main agenda for having a destination wedding was to bring their families from the Lebanon and Poland together but they achieved so much more than this and the gallery of images by Olga Creative portrays a day filled with love and affection.. and a whole lot of pin-worthy prettiness.

"When Michele and Sebastian started thinking about their wedding, their first and ultimate decision was to have it somewhere abroad, next to the sea, where all of their close friends and relatives could share the most special of days with them. The couple live in Paris but Michele is originally from Lebanon and Sebastian is from Poland so there wasn't many opportunities or occasions where both of their families could come together so having a wedding in Greece felt like a great way to let them get to know one another.

Michele and Sebastian wanted a Catholic ceremony from the start and had hoped to get married in Santorini or Mikonos but a Catholic ceremony at either location was not possible and Corfu suddenly came to the forefront of their search. Corfu island is famous for its history and heritage because of the influence its close neighbour, Italy has had to on the island. There are a lot of catholic churches on the island but Michele and Sebastian chose the Cathedral of Saint James and Christopher in the historic square of Corfu town.

Michele knew from the beginning that the style of the wedding was hugely important and she wanted it to be very elegant and feminine. A palette of pink and gold was decided upon and the beachside setting of Piedra del Mar for dinner was the perfect backdrop.
