Great British Glamping | Bell Tents for Weddings and Events

via

Afternoon Peeps. We have another awesome wedding supplier to share with you today under Festival Brides Love, and this one is no stranger to a festival wedding! Great British Glamping, a luxury bell tent and glamping village hire company, joined our wedding directory last month and we are very excited to have them on board. Not only do they have a wealth of experience when it comes to weddings, they also supply their luxury bells tents to many well known music festival across the UK. These guys know what it takes to create a great glamping village and the right atmosphere to go with it. The most important thing to them is ensuring that your guests are comfortable and relaxed so each of their bell tents are equipped with this in mind. Think lovely comfortable beds, warm blankets and inviting decor. They offer your guests not only a good nights sleep but a good experience with it.

We asked Great British Glamping a few questions about their bell tents, glamping villages and the sort of service you can expect from them....

Great British Glamping is a family run company that specialises in providing luxury glamping villages for weddings, festivals and private events across the UK. A passion for delivering the best combined with a wealth of planning and delivery expertise means we're great to have on board to make your big day unique and memorable.

We're fortunate that we get to go to quite a few festivals, and in our experience it's often the less well-known acts on smaller stages that can make your day. We've seen amazing live comedy, fantastic acoustic jamming sessions and some great headliners, all at various, diverse events. In terms of choosing one festival it would probably be SXSW in Austin, Texas. The sheer mix of talent on offer and the diverse range of venues and settings would make it truly exceptional. However, memorable sets we've seen recently in the UK include Youngr live at Fieldview Festival, Wiltshire and The Elephant Sessions closing the main stage at Fire In The Mountain, Wales.

With a love of the outdoors and events, and a desire to do something different and less 'corporate' we spotted a gap in the market for a quality provider of glamping tents for growing festivals and weddings. Drawing on our collective experience in operational management and event planning we launched Great British Glamping as a refreshing provider which puts guests first.

We use beautiful naturally bleached canvas Bell Tents which are 5m in diameter and stand 3m high at the peak. They can accommodate both couples and families in comfort and come furnished with beds, Indian rugs, a table, mirror and lighting. Warmth is kept in and insects kept out thanks to our zipped-in groundsheets - perfect for providing a worry-free accommodation option at your wedding. And we can decorate the village with bunting, lanterns and outdoor lighting to top-off the look.

We offer a range of services and options so please chat to us about how we can help you plan your perfect day.

Our tents look simply stunning when pitched for an event, with fabric bunting blowing in the breeze and lanterns providing a romantic feel to the village. We work with brides and grooms to make sure the tents provide a wonderful, memorable aspect to their weddings.

In addition to our accommodation tents we can provide an amazing Chill Tent structure that provides a space to relax, recharge and shelter from the sun (or rain!). We can furnish this opensided structure with straw bale sofas, giant beanbags, lighting and also provide garden games. It's all part of creating a truly magical experience for you and your guests for your wedding.

At Great British Glamping we know that the best weddings and events are totally bespoke and as
such we provide tailored services, getting involved in as much or little detail as the client wishes.

All our events start with a conversation to discover your ideas and plans, and what you're looking for in terms of glamping. Given the nature of what we do we usually include a site visit with you to ensure we can fully understand your thinking. Once we have a high-level plan we can then work together to make sure we're covering the smaller details and from this provide you with relevant options. We can draw on our own experience and capabilities and combine with your ideas to create a plan that will ensure we deliver the very best for you.

Over the course of your wedding, your guests won't probably ever meet us - unless you opt for an on-site concierge element of course. We make sure the village is ready to go and, whilst being available behind the scenes, leave you and your wedding party to enjoy the celebrations.

We absolutely love being part of making great events come together and will ensure that your wedding day creates an experience and memories that last forever.

Depending on numbers of guests and tents, the village will require a decent sized area of relatively flat ground. We can be creative in pitching tents and will work with you to establish the best layout. You may want to consider things like access to loos and where to position family tents etc. but we can walk you through the usual questions. We're more than happy to talk to venues directly if this eases communication - everyone involved wants the day to be a huge success.

One thing we love about working with couples is the collaboration that happens in the lead-up to a wedding. We see ourselves as not simply a supplier, but a provider that can help solve problems and suggest ideas that will make the event even greater for everyone. In working with us you not only get a beautiful village of glamping tents to host our guests in but also a wealth of event knowledge and expertise. As one bride told us "You're amazing, you're like the oracle of problem solving in the outdoors..."

Talk to them. It sounds simple but we love to get under the surface of the plans and ensure that the experience we provide is right for you and your guests. Also, don't be afraid to ask. Some of the best ideas come about when people are bold and ask questions.

We don't have a "go to" one as such but there are a couple that we muse over from time to time. 'carpe diem' is pretty good but also 'impossible is nothing'.
