When it came time for Christine and Josh to pick a theme for their big day, the time of year played a big part in their decision. "Our ceremony was outdoors, so we chose a spring theme," Christine shares. "We chose spring colours, which included a mixture of pinks and purples with other colours thrown in."

The couple, who met while working together at a Dauphin-area camp, wanted to include unique, fun details, such as the kitten corner at their ceremony. "We had set up a space where guests could come and pet six kittens," Christine explains. "Josh and I love kittens. And our guests loved it!" One of the most memorable moments for Christine was walking down the aisle. "It felt like it wasn't really happening," Christine remarks. "I was so incredibly happy."

After the ceremony, which was held at the bride's family's private property overlooking Riding Mountain National Park, guests made their way to the Watson Art Centre for the reception. Josh and Christine shared their first dance to an acoustic version of "Grow Old With You" from the Adam Sandler movie The Wedding Singer. "We chose it because it was a kind of cheesy love song that represented us living life and growing old together," Christine smiles.

After a hilarious speech by the best man, guests joined the couple on the dance floor. "It was so much fun dancing the night away!" Christine remembers.
