"A Song of Love": Inspiration for an Italian Castle Wedding | Fly Away Bride

This styled shoot beautifully tells the tale of a dream wedding that takes place in an Italian castle. The chosen venue was Castello di Uviglie, on a hilltop overlooking the Monferrato area. Captured by Velluto Photography, the shoot features a fabulous bride and incredibly handsome groom uniting in marriage in this most magical of castles. We love the music theme as well as the beautiful styling by Danielle Design Weddings, and the delicate colour palette of peach, blush, champagne and gold. There are lots more details below from the team at Velluto Photography, but first check out these gorgeous images.

"The castle, surrounded by vineyards, sits in the middle of beautiful garden with rare and ancient trees. Built in 1239 by the Paucaparte di Celle, ownership passed after two centuries to the Pico-Gonzagas, a well known family in the North of Italy. It was the perfect location- this venue has a special place in my heart, because I had my own dream wedding here in 2013 and I've always wanted to come back and create something beautiful. The light there is just magical. The focal point of the shoot we had planned was music and the styling was a mix of classic, modern and romantic elements. The colour palette was delicate: white with splashes of peach, blush, champagne and gold. Danielle Design Weddings worked marvels, as always, at styling and linking all the elements together to create a strong coherent story. She designed the flowers and the blooms looked and smelled heavenly, using David Austin roses, tulips, carnations, Lisianthus and Asparagus Plumosus. The rose pink and gold wedding cake and cupcakes were created by Passione: Cupcakes. I particularly liked how they looked on our unusual sweets' table, which was, for a change, an old piano! The table setting featured an elegant round wooden table with antique mustard-coloured velvet chairs and vintage fine china with gold motifs, silver and gold cutlery, an exquisite set of vintage crystal glasses, champagne and peach lace runners, candles and a tall royal spherical centrepiece. Of course, the menus and all the matching delicate stationery were individually handwritten in beautiful calligraphy. As for the wedding gowns and the two bridesmaids' dresses, we had the honour to work with the incredibly talented Milan-based designer, Ela Siromascenko. The two bridesmaids wore matching (but not identical) dresses. Nowadays, the modern bride is very attentive to details and often likes to change dresses- with this in mind, Ela created two looks, the wedding gown itself and the "honeymoon departure" dress. The wedding gown was an explosion of beauty, a dreamy champagne silk and tulle gown with elaborately draped tulle and hand-sewn lace appliqués on the boned corset bodice with straight neckline. The royal look was completed by the floor-length skirt in six layers of tulle with an asymmetrical, double gathered external layer, ruffles and train for an ethereal effect of movement. For the second dress of the evening, she designed a pale pink tulle number, with a beautiful lace bodice and a knee-length layered skirt, much more easy to rock while escaping for the honeymoon. The bridal look was completed with a natural make-up look highlighting the deep blue eyes of the model and with a relaxed yet stylish updo. The groom wore his own suit, a treble clef boutonniere and embellished his shirt with the unique cufflinks created especially for this inspiration shoot by the amazing jewellery artists of My Golden Age. They also created the wedding bands, and all the jewellery worn by the bride: engagement ring, necklace, bracelet and earrings. A music theme wouldn't have been complete without the performance of a great violin and harp duo accompanying the first dance of the newly-weds. This was the finishing touch which closed the circle and made it all cohesive with the title: "A Song of Love"- because love means life and life means music."
