Happy Feet

I had a meeting with a bride and her mother the other day and while reviewing my sample album of wedding photos, heard the mom gasp when she saw one of my favorite and most popular wedding photos and said in a conservative, school-teacher voice, “this isn’t appropriate. This is not what you do at a wedding. Weddings are supposed to be formal and everyone should be on their best behavior and dress like mature adults…” I grinned, biting my lip and tactfully replied, “I didn’t realize weddings had rules. Isn’t it up to the Bride & Groom to determine the look & feel and overall flow of a wedding and determine what is appropriate or not at their wedding?” Her reply was, “Not when I’m paying for it.” Ouch.
