A late Victorian diamond brooch, circa 1890, the stylised rapier with foliate decoration at the hilt set throughout with cushion-shaped, old brilliant and rose-cut diamonds, the three principal stones weighing 2.05, 1.28 and 1.18 carats, suspending swags of similarly cut stones and a marquise-cut diamond drop weighing 2.08 carats, one diamond deficient, mounted in silver and gold, length 6.8cm.
