This face you see right here, is me! I'm @LuciaPador the face behind @UtterlyEngaged. Hi friends! A few of you (you know who you are) have been encouraging to me to show my face around here a bit more. To be honest, at first I was a bit terrified when I stepped in front of the camera. I'm usually behind the scenes, art directing and creating. But I wanted to be a living example of what it is to be #UtterlyEngaged. The brand started as a place of sharing of wedding inspiration, but over the years, it's become a home to love & be more authentic, a community that wants to connect, a place of permission to you to live a more purposeful life, and ultimately a place where gifts, hearts and missions are shared. So here I am, with my big smile accepting the challenge. It also helps to have encouraging friends, an amazing photographer (@jensosa) & makeup artist (@kellyzhangstudio) to make it less scary. 〰️ You might not know this, but in the last years I've experienced some life changing moments. 2 important men passed away in my life my father & grandfather. And soon after, 20 more important people. My heart has been heavy & I was struggling with grief that hit me hard. So much so that my health was affected. I was at the doctors almost every month, getting my blood drawn, ultrasounds, etc... Through it all, I was determined to get healthier. So you might have noticed I’ve been quiet around here, but really, I was working extra hours to take care of myself. 〰️ So this smile you see right here, is me today! Full joy and gratitude because I just received some wonderful news. I feel like I've climbed this huge mountain & I'm on top of the world feeling grateful because there is clarity in my health journey, for @UtterlyEngaged & for the ones I lost & loved so dearly. Their life will not go in vain. My heart is so full, I just want to share this moment with you. But first can I say thank you? For what? For sticking around.
