As small business owners it seems like we continuously hear people telling us to slow down. Or the opposite - to keep hustling. You might feel guilty if you are working too much, you might also feel guilty if you're choosing to spend time away from work. Over fifteen years into my business, I still struggle with this. If you're in the same boat, just know that you are not alone, but that only you can determine what works best for you, your business, your family, your relationships. Don't let outside voices convince you to work in a way that doesn't suit you. - If you love the hustle and want to keep pushing through night after night, then do it while the passion is there! If you are like me, and you enjoy the hustle, but also need some down time on occasion, give yourself permission to do that. Taking a complete break from work doesn't bring me peace or relaxation, rather anxiety. SO I know that even on vacation, I feel best staying connected {albeit in a much more limited capacity} to work somehow. That works for me! - We can all aim to find a balance that works for us personally and accept whatever conflicting feelings it may bring. Try not to worry so much about what other people are doing, and remember that no expert ever has it all figured out. Every business owner has anxiety and pressure to work through. Let's embrace it and work on better balance, not an unattainable "perfection". - Does this resonate with you? If so, give us a double-tap so we know we aren't alone either!
