Stone Fox Bride

This weekend I: watched “Cheaper By The DoZen” 1 & 2, “Daddy’s Home” and “Smallfoot”, raided the Halloween box more than once, gave both my children Time Outs while practicing the art of “accept and reflect”, gave myself Time Outs while staring at the ceiling wondering dear god when will my rich second husband ride in on the white horse, bought mitten clips, a whoopie cushion, out the entire frozen food section of Whole Foods, made many a warm bottle, sat on a beanbag pretending to be rapt but really bored as shit through a dramatic reading of “Everyone Poops” as performed with an aristocratic accent, applied bandaids, blistex, butt cream, betadine and hair detangling spray and ate enough potato pancakes to kill an ox. Plus I haven’t changed my socks since Friday morning. Wow, weekends as a single mother are a wild grab bag whirlwind of all kinds of insanity... you never know what you’re gonna get. Counting down the minutes until my salt bath and “Escape to Dennamora”. #stonefoxmama
