It means choosing imagery that perhaps isn't the most "picture perfect" but is instead filled with wide, open-mouthed smiles and wrinkled noses when we know the bouquet would 100% garner more "likes" (and we do love you so, floral designers, we promise). It's telling the actual stories, the long paragraphs that share how the bride or groom spent hours crafting that amazing wedding arbour in their backyard. It's making sure that the weddings we feature are diverse- in every single way, from photography style to budget, to formality and location. it's making sure that the couples we feature are diverse, and making sure we actively seek that out rather than simply relying on what is submitted to us.
