My dad hasn't missed a ski season for 55 years and he didn't see why a little bit of lung cancer or some Coronavirus should stop him this year either. I'm not gonna lie, when he told us he was getting on a plane this week I was worried as hell. I thought he was utterly insane. But, he reminded me that no matter what was happening, he has to keep on living his life. "Take precautions, wash your hands, read the advice but we have to keep on living" he said. "More people die of cancer and I've already got that." So, while I was still worried, I understood where he was coming from and seeing all his updates about how much he's managed to ski this week is so inspiring! He's got lung cancer and he's up a mountain doing what he loves!! I'm very proud of him for not letting cancer stop him and I know the sense of achievement is doing wonders for him too. No matter what happens over the next few days, weeks or months, his words will keep ringing in my ears. We never know how long any of us have and so "we have to keep on living..."
