The high crown ponytail - tips & tutorial!⠀ ⠀ Check my stories for my latest tutorial on the high ponytail and here are my styling tips:⠀ ⠀ 1. Your brush choice matters⠀ ⠀ Use a paddle brush or vented brush to start your ponytail but a bristle brush will give you a smooth finish with no lumps or bumps⠀ ⠀ 2. Your hair elastic matters⠀ ⠀ Use a hair bungee instead of a normal hair elastic as you get the tightest grip and don’t get tangled either. ⠀ ⠀ 3. Extra volume⠀ ⠀ Use a ponytail cuff for a volume boost or use a 90s style butterfly clip in the middle of your ponytail for an instant volume boost. ⠀ You can also tease your ponytail for more volume but the clip is such a quick fix. ⠀ ⠀ 4. Fuzzy flyaways⠀ ⠀ Smooth down flyaways by spraying hairspray on a toothbrush or mascara wand and then precisely styling them in place. ⠀ ⠀ 5. Perfect hairline⠀ ⠀ No-one has a thick hairline and it’s so normal to have gaps, which appear more noticeable in darker hair. And if they bother you, you can create a neat hairline by filling it in with a matte eyeshadow that matches your hair.
