This bag has large useable pockets on outside of the tote measuring each measuring 10 inches x 19 inches (the width of the bag). There are also two pockets on the inside. I have also made a removable hard bottom covered insert. The bag was made with heavy duty pellon interfacing and coordinating Cotton & Steel fabric. I do not recommend washing this tote.
