Not wanting all the fuss and time-consuming planning of a traditional wedding, Tegan and Emmanuel decided to turn their engagement party into a surprise wedding for their 100 guests at the expansive Maleny Retreat .

Set at Bluemont, Virginia's The Retreat at Cool Spring, this exquisite inspiration shoot was created and photographed at the For The Love of Film Workshop hosted by the incredible Matoli Keely Photography. I've spent the past seven days in New York and I've been having the best time! After teaching over the weekend, Shauna had to head to Palm Springs for a design retreat, so Gala and I have been exploring the city as a terrible twosome all week.

Last week Gareth and I were invited to Urban Retreat, the spa in Harrods, to have their unique hammam experience and it was so weird/ awesome/ relaxing/ fun that I thought I'd share it with you! I was beyond thrilled to share Jacqueline & Trebor's intimate Italian wedding earlier this year, which wasn't just an elopement but a surprise wedding for the attendees of fine art photography workshop Rome Retreat.

Shawn from BEEHIVE EVENTS was a wonderful hostess for the Rendezvous Retreat in Charlottesville, Virginia. From taking us through a fun floral arrangement workshop to helping us set up a Southern BBQ-inspired spread, she made our time in Charlottesville so very special.

Eileen and Andres' quintessential California wedding is just dreamy. A desert-themed wedding, infused in corals and succulents, it was the perfect palette for a sunny day on Hidden Oaks Retreat in Rancho Cucamonga. When Keiran and Sam blew out their wedding budget, Sam decided to cut costs by styling their reception herself in an impressive DIY feat. She bought all the flowers from the local farmers market, and fashioned up some sweet hessian table runners and centrepieces befitting of the gorgeous marquee wedding they had planned in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland at Maleny Retreat .

Whether I am planning, styling or editing a wedding inspirational shoot, I always conjure the narrative that lies behind a shoot, and that is no different in today's Equestrian Wedding Inspiration shoot in the Dordogne Valley. For me the shoot features two star crossed lovers, who have escaped their city lives and fled to a romantic retreat in the Dordogne.

We're loving the intimacy of this lovely countryside wedding inspiration.
