I have often wondered what it is about Brisbane that has seen a flurry of incredible couture designers ply their craft there. Designer George Wu has been one such artisan that I have watched over the years create incredible pieces and today, being able to share his 2014 bridal collection, entitled "The Light Of Eden" is nothing short of a treat.

"The Light Of Eden" collection brings to light draped silhouettes and elaborate textures. The pieces are handcrafted with beautiful fabrics - French laces and silks and silk chiffon and trimmed with interesting details from Japan, and Italy. The attention to detail - sheer sleeves, lacy backs, gold embroidery and perfectly tied bows bring a sense of weightlessness and elegance to the collection.

George Wu has created beautiful gowns since his label's debut in 2005. Known for his masterful tailoring, intricate detailing and classical technique he also has an eye for the darkness and light that strike an almost avante garde feel. Personally involved in each step of a gown's creation, from design to final fittings to make sure each piece represents his brand as a work of art.
