Jolanta Wozniak and Grzegorz Fadiejew, September 7, 2013, Ottawa, Ontario.

Sometimes mother really does know best. Grzegorz's mom seemed to know that her son and Jolanta would be a perfect pair and she told Jolanta so long before the couple would actually meet. Then, by chance, Jolanta and Greg ran into each other in a parking lot while attending a Polish community meeting one week after he had returned from a mission in Afghanistan. Indeed, the two instantly clicked.

The couple decided on an art deco theme for their fall wedding. Greg sported his official military dress uniform while Jolanta embraced the vintage wedding theme, accessorizing her gown with brooches, pearls and a birdcage veil.

Jolanta says her favourite moment of the day had to be the wedding ceremony, which incorporated the couple's son, Maks. "Maks started flirting with guests behind our backs asking for cookies. It was a cute moment that made the ceremony less formal and incorporated our whole little family," she reminisces.
