For a bride looking for something completely styled and modern, Australian designer Carla Zampatti always ticks the boxes. The Prima Ballerina Orchid Lace Gown above is one of my favourites. The high low ballerina skirt paired with white lace on nude bodice is daring and different and yet still romantic.

Elaborate concoctions of orchid and tulle detailing, one shoulder necklines, asymmetrical skirts, sequined embellishment and classic draped georgette all make up the dramatic gowns that are suitably modern bridal wear.

While white is beautifully present in this collection leaving plenty of options for a more bridal look, there are also a plethora of deeper tones. Radiant blues feature in skirts and bodies, dramatic black is used in interesting ways, with striped organza and the fun brights of lime and red complete the colourways (complete with a matching array of feather jackets).
