Good morning lovely people

So just in case you weren't aware, Glastonbury was on at the weekend. You know, that little festival on a farm that attracts about 175,000 people! Well, unfortunately for us we didn't get tickets this year but what we did do was camp out in our living room with plenty of cider and watched the coverage on the BBC! Had we been there, our feet would have been most definitely occupying the ground in front of The Park Stage which had such an amazing line up. From Jamie XX to Fat White Family and Mavis Staples, there was such a cool array of artists performing throughout the weekend that I really don't think I would have felt the need to go anywhere else.

Out of all of the performances we saw performing on The Park Stage, the stand out for me by far was by Father John Misty. He was brilliant. I can only imagine what the atmosphere must have been like as he was mesmerizing to watch. His stage presence, the way he sang, the way he talked, the way he interacted with the crowd - it was awesome.

Father John Misty is the alias of former Fleet Foxes drummer, John Tillman. If you haven't got his album, I Love You, Honeybear , then you need to buy it! We tipped it as being an album to watch back in December and I have to say I think we were bang on. It's a brilliant album. It is described by Tillman himself as being a concept album of his life including love songs about his recent marriage and amusing anecdotes of real life events about people he's met or situations he's been in, all put together over some awesome melodies. The album echoes that of some of the 70's greats such as John Lennon and Elton John making his music and lyrics just as interesting as the man himself which is why I guess they work so well together on stage.
