While we all got the memo that fall has officially started, some of us can't seem to let go of summer, right? We still imagine ourselves pool or beachside with a yummy cocktail in-hand and the sunshine warming up our skin. We totally understand these withdrawal symptoms, and while your wardrobe and makeup may have to make the transition to fall, your hair can keep some remnants of summer. We partnered up with Craig Wcislo, Kérastase stylist and manager of LuxeLab in Santa Monica, CA, to show us how to create the perfect beachside braided bun that will keep our summer spirits alive.

Step 1: Prep your hair by spritzing the roots and ends with a texturizing spray (Wcislo used Kérastase V.I.P Volume in Powder). This will give your hair some extra body and grip.

Step 2: Gather your hair into a low pony and secure with an elastic band. Braid the pony into a three-strand braid.

Step 3: Wrap the braid around the base of your pony.

Step 4: Pin the braided bun down with bobby pins so that it's secure. Spritz the style with stronghold hairspray (Wcislo used Kérastase Laque Couture).
