Bird Wedding Decor Details for Every Season

Bird Wedding Decor Details for Every Season

via

Everyone has seen the requisite birdcage at the card table at every vintage wedding. And they are lovely. But what if you really love bird details and want to go beyond the ordinary? There are beautiful bird wedding decor ideas for every season. Although birds are a great match for garden wedding decor, they can also accompany autumnal and wintery events. For example, the bird wedding invite above would go perfectly with a fall wedding, while the one below would be a pretty spring option.

If you want to make birds seem more wintery, go with black and white or metallics. Especially when paired with reds, birds don't seem at all out of place at a Christmas wedding. For autumn weddings, use bird details with blackbirds, for summer use bluebirds.

When spring is coming, line a ring nest with moss and ribbon. If you would like to use a ring nest for a winter wedding, embrace the starkness of the season by lining the nest with bare branches and a bit of natural cotton.

For garden weddings, bird wedding decor is all about the bluebirds in shades of robin's egg blue. It goes well with other summery brights and makes for a very lighthearted palette. The ceramic topper (above) can take up permanent residence on a bookshelf or kitchen counter after the wedding. And these bluebird sprinkles (below) are almost too darling to eat.

For events during any season, you can create an airy atmosphere with bird silhouettes in white. Paper cutouts of birds (above, right) can be a fun DIY bunting project, if you have a steady hand (otherwise, just no).

Don't forget the stamps! On Etsy you can find all sorts of vintage, unused stamps in a multitude of designs. The love birds (above) are a sweet option for a wedding invitation.

And if you are truly all about the birds, wear one around your neck in a charm!
