Leonardo Da Vinci said that "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". Well, the wedding of Ben and Irene is definitely something to remember, a first of its kind and truly spectacular. This couple decided to get married at their own high school in Polokwane, High School Pietersburg. They used this school in the most creative way and turned it into the ideal wedding venue, one that many will remember! Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

My friend Annriette came to visit me and Ben was visiting Annriette's brother Alex. Us
girls decided to go drink some wine and listen to good music at Alex's place. Myself and
Ben went to the same school but never met, me being two years older :-) We left in the
early hours of the morning and invited them to my place to watch rugby and braai the
next day.We couldn't stop smiling at each other and later that evening he gave me a quick
kiss and walked away, he later said he had to regain his composure. We went dancing
and saw the sun come up and when everyone went to bed we admitted we liked each
other.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

We went to Joburg for my bday-weekend.Saturday I woke up and Ben had left. He left a
little book for me. He wrote how much he adores me and gave me instructions to go and
have breakfast. At the coffee shop I was greeted with a croissant,coffee and my place to
sit. I was given another book with the next location,the tattoo parlor. Ben still nowhere!
The pen-design was put on my wrist, but it was skew and had to be re positioned. My
favorite song started to play and when I looked at the design it said "Mew, will you
marry me? Love Ben".Ben was on one knee and I said yes. His friend Rozier captured
everything on camera.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The entire wedding was very special for us! We cannot choose one moment that stand
out more than another! The most special for us was the realization at the reception that
all of our favorite people where in one place at the same time and they all witnessed us
getting married and enjoyed the evening with us!

Everything form the decor, food to the music was the things we liked the most! The
wedding was "us"! We embraced our uniqueness and used that in our wedding.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Enjoy the whole process from planning the wedding to the actual day. It won't happen
again soon and you will miss the planning when everything is over. Take a few moments
to stand still during the day and take everything in around you, the day flies by so fast!
Make the groom more involved in the planning part, give him something to do that he
will love. Ben organized the wine, drinks, music and chose the band. Choose an
awesome photographer, photos are the only thing you will have left after the wedding.
