Bianca from Pretty Perfect Events is sharing her last bit of wedding planning advice with us. The journey has been great as she took us through every little step. Today is the last post on this subject and we hope you enjoyed it with us...

What to do in the last 2 weeks before the wedding

Wow you've made it! We hope your wedding planning process has been enjoyable and not caused you too much stress. Here are the last few items to tick off the list in the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding.

1. Get your hair cut and coloured

If you are wanting a trim (not an entire style change!) and/or some colour before your wedding day, get this done now. Some people like their colour to settle a bit before a big event so the choice is yours on this one. Either 1 or 2 weeks before is great.
2. Reconfirm arrival times with vendors

If you don't have a planner, reconfirm with all vendors that they know where they need to be and at what time. You don't want any confusion come wedding day.

3. Delegate small wedding tasks 4. Send timeline to bridal party

If you want a bridesmaid to look after a flower girl or you want them to take a note to your hubby to be on the wedding day, make sure to let anyone doing small tasks for you know beforehand.

Once you/your planner have completed a timeline of how things will run on wedding day, send this to your bridal party. It's extremely helpful for all involved to know exactly what they can expect come wedding day.

5. Pick up dress

6. Final headcount

It's time to pick up your gorgeous wedding dress! Make sure you have space on the backseat of the car to lie it down flat and that nothing gets put on top of it. You should receive this in a big hanger bag so it stays nice and clean. Hang it up the minute you get home so that any creases that have occurred during transport have some time to hang out.

7. Check seating plan

Make sure that you've accounted for all your guests and that the numbers are correct.

8. Get facials and waxing

Make sure again that you've accounted for everyone and that they all have been allocated to a table.

9. Send final guest list/numbers to all necessary

If you are a regular waxer then have this done about a week before the wedding so that if you experience any redness or sensitivity that this can subside before wedding day. DO NOT have any facials done before your wedding if you are not used to facials. Your skin could break out if you aren't accustomed to facial treatments so rather skip this step. If you are a regular salon goer, then by all means have a relaxing treatment a week before the big day.

Your venue might require the names of guests for security purposes - so send the guest list to anyone who might need it.
10. Pack for honeymoon

11. Break in shoes

If you are jetting off on honeymoon straight after the wedding, start packing your suitcase the week before. This way you can enjoy the day(s) after you're wed and not worry about which outfits to pack as most of it would have been taken care of.

We always stress that if you are opting for high heels under your wedding dress that you wear them around your house the week before the wedding to soften them a bit and also for your precious soles to get used to them. You want to be as comfortable as possible on wedding day, you will be surprised how much standing around the bride and groom does! As a side note, make sure the Maid of Honour has some plasters handy in case of any blisters or sensitive spots.

And that's a wrap! We hope each and every single bride and groom enjoy their wedding day to the fullest. We wish you many years of wonderful marriage.
