Dear The Bridal Guru,

In speaking with photographers, almost all have what they call, "a second shooter". Do I really need two photographers at my wedding?

Dear Out of Focus Bride,

The trend today with photography is to have two shooters, sometimes more depending on the size of the wedding. This is all new to you. But, after the wedding and you see all the pictures, you will probably be glad there were two photographers at your wedding and reception. Remember, there is a lot going on. Plus, many brides today want detail shots of the flowers, the food, the decorations. The day goes by so fast, this is the best way to remember everything.

The top photographers don't just arrive haphazardly. They spend countless hours planning and creating for your wedding. They don't want to miss any detail or any magical moments. They want to capture the first look by your groom and your father. They want to get your guests, your family and your wedding party. There are so many different angles and ways that your wedding can be photographed. It takes two at the very least.

Many times having two photographers speeds up the process. One photographers is with the bride and her attendants while the other is with groom and his groomsmen. And sometimes, the other photographer is rounding everyone up so all the photographs you request are done and in a timely manner.

You focus on your wedding and let your photographers focus on you.
