Intimate Christmas Cosy House Wedding with a Gold Sequin Dress -...

It may be September but it doesn't mean we can't dream of those cold crisp days and festive celebrations now does it?

Diane and James decided to marry on the 29th December 2014 with just 14 guests in attendance. Just so romantic. They held their celebrations in Bellinter House in Ireland, think candlelight dinner and cosy country house spaces.

Diane donned the most incredible gold sequin gown by Jane Hill, while James donned a sharp black suit from Sallingers. This stylish day is magical.

Thanks so much to Tomasz Kornas for sharing these dreamy images with us.

THE PROPOSAL | We met in 'The Bun' (The Bunratty Inn) in Schull, during CAALVES week on 3rd August 2005. James' family own and run the pub and my family had a holiday home in Schull. My family ate in The Bunratty every time we visited Schull.... it does really good food! We knew of each other for years - he was the 'guy with the eyebrow piercing' and she was 'George Wisdom's daughter'! We first started talking during the summer of 2005. I was down in Schull for 5 weeks with my friend Christina and after much attraction and flirting, we finally got together on the last week of the holiday! I then returned to Dublin but we exchanged numbers and vowed to keep in touch... and happily we did!

In Melbourne, Australia on 3rd December 2011. It was a dark, cold and very windy night and we had just finished a big roast dinner. We went for a late night walk along the ocean where we lived in Port Melbourne. We were rugged up and huddled together. I was chatting about my dream walled vegetable garden and James just stopped my mid-sentence and pulled me in against the wall along the beach....

My tummy flipped. James reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring (We had designed it and ordered it a few weeks prior but I didn't realise he had already collected it). He just said 'I love you babe. Will you marry me?' I just said 'yes'. We kissed and hugged... then snapped two windy photos and then continued on the walk. :) A week later we flew to Paris for 3 days and then on home to Ireland for Christmas with family.

THE VISION | There was no theme! 14 guests and a gold dress - that's about it!! The location was stunning.. and it was Christmas time so we had all the embellishments we needed.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We only decided to have the wedding 6 months before the actual day. We only had 14 guests so there was very little to plan! We didn't do invitations or flowers or favours or have cars etc. It was all kept very minimal and very low key. We just wanted the day to be about our ceremony and our commitment to each other, whilst being surrounded by our closest friends and family.

THE VENUE | Bellinter House, Navan

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Jane Hill, Melbourne.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Sallingers, Cork.

THE CAKE | James' sister Elaine, from Cake Charm, created our wedding cake. James and I are both Paleo and requested a Paleo strawberry and cream sponge cake. It is an unusual request so we all enjoyed a lot of experimentation with Paleo recipes before the wedding. The cake was a huge success. Elaine did a superb job... it was delicious!!

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Also, being a designer, Diane created the menus and place settings... oh and James and Diane folded all the napkins!! :P

THE HONEYMOON | We went on a 3 day dog sledding adventure in -40ºC temperatures, stayed in the Ice Hotel, witnessed the Northern Lights, cruised down UNESCO World Heritage Fjords and so much more. We had the time of our lives! Oh and we would definitely advise leaving a few days between the wedding and the honeymoon. We left 5 days and needed every single one!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Groom's favourite memory: Seeing Diane for the first time. I nearly cried... She was so beautiful.

Bride's favourite memory: Seeing James for the first time. I was so emotional; I was shaking and teary. He was so gorgeous in his suit. We just hugged and hugged. I could see in his eyes how happy he was too. It was a wonderful moment.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Have a small wedding! It was the absolute BEST decision we ever made. We had a wonderful day and were not under pressure to perform. We were able to enjoy and cherish every single moment. .... we then spent all the money we saved on a two week trip to the Arctic in Norway! :)
