When I first started publishing Premier Bride of Mississippi, fifteen years ago, Peter Christian & Crew were one of my first advertisers. I am happy to say, they still are a huge part of Premier Bride and The Premier Bridal Show. When I sat down to visit with Peter about being our Vendor of the Week, I was surprised at how long Peter has been a DJ in the Jackson area and Mississippi, 31 years! It was interesting to hear how Peter began his long career and his insight into music and weddings.

How did you get started? Peter was a radio DJ and saw someone doing this. He thought it looked like fun and a way to make extra money. The rest is history.

What do you like most about what you do? What Peter likes most about what he does is everybody being satisfied in the end. Peter told me that when the bride and her family walk away and say, "we had a good time", then he's happy. The best way he knows besides playing great music that everyone likes and dances to is making the bride the star of the show.

Tell us about your company. Do you offer any special services? Today everything is computerized. If a bride wants a particular song, Peter and his crew can get it on the spot. Peter prides himself on the professionalism of his DJ's and that they all know how to care for the bride. The bride is number One!

If you could give the bride one tip/one bit of advice, what would that be? Peter said there are two things that he recommends. Number one, hire a professional and don't go with the cheapest price. Number two, throw the bouquet and garter somewhere in the middle of the reception, not at the end, so there are plenty of people in the pictures.

Any funny stories to share? After 31 years, there are too many to remember.

Favorite type of music? Classic Rock, z-106. I'm not surprised after Peter's many years as a DJ for z-106.
