London Street-Style Stars to Watch

These are the people we can't wait to see hit the pavement at LFW. Expect them to pull out all the stops for the second leg of runway shows.

Queen of risk-taking, freelance stylist and senior fashion editor at I-D magazine Julia Sarr-Jamois is street style's unparalleled It Girl. A pioneer of streetwear's now ubiquitous fashion sweatshirt, it's hard not to envy the London native's signature fro and free spirit. Usually packing color, texture and pattern into her ensembles, Sarr-Jamois could just as easily throw on perfectly weathered vintage jeans and tees and still stand among the crowds.

Fashion veteran Yasmin Sewell is no stranger to street-style fame. One of the most photographed stars on the Fashion Week circuit-thanks to that smile she's always sporting-the Aussie's aesthetic is as varied as her resume (Être Cécile founder, Style.com fashion director, influence behind JW Anderson's foray into womenswear). Her signature cutting-edge looks regularly push the limits of proportion and androgyny.

All The Pretty Birds blogger and former editor-in-chief of Grazia.it, Tamu McPherson is one of the rare crossovers known just as well for her own snaps as she is being a subject. With a style most easily classified as "classic with a twist," the photographer naturally combines conventional silhouettes alongside borrowed-from-the-boys touches, resulting in a cool girl vibe with European refinement.

Photographer, blogger and London transplant Candice Lake may not be the flashiest street style subject, but her feminine getups provide the ultimate relief from the crowds sporting the more is more look. The Australian born bombshell knows how to make a subtle statement pairing the right fur coat and fashion forward cap with brightly-hued frocks, A line skirts and, being a former model, sky-high heels.
Business woman Caroline Issa falls in the same ranks as fellow jack-of-all-fashion-trades Yasmin Sewell, clocking in an executive fashion director position at Tank magazine, a Nordstrom capsule collection and an editor-in-chief role at Because. Not surprisingly, this British born professional makes big waves in the street style community. Issa is just as known for her au natural visage as she is her sharp wears. With an effortlessly chic air, she transcends style niche, rocking an oversized pantsuit one day and a feminine, flowing frock the next.

Making her start across the pond as a TV personality, London-born Alexa Chung has since added style star, model and British Vogue contributor to her resume. Known for her laid-back look and sticking to the basics (the girl could be denim's ambassador) her style profile has amped up since moving stateside. Still, she's easily characterized by her approachable and wearable duds, namely her signature frilly minis, military coats and classic double-breasted outerwear.
