Elegant China Blue Manor House Wedding

Elegant China Blue Manor House Wedding

via

Today's real wedding is one of those ones that takes an idea, runs with it, and carries it out with such intricate execution, it kind of blows us away.

Marga & Bikash are an incredibly thoughtful couple, who got married in the stunning Syon Park in London.

They wanted a day that created lots of special moments and memories for their guests, and with the help of Sarah Gawler for photography and Knot & Pop for planning and design, that's exactly what they got.

Starting with the couple's favourite colour, blue, and calling on the grandeur of the backdrop, Knot & Pop created a beautiful China blue aesthetic that flowed throughout the day, with touches of white, pink and mossy green.

From painstakingly hand-painted tiles to bespoke biscuits, and matching printed stationery to a remarkable watercolour wedding cake, every last detail had a tailor-made touch.

From the Planners

From the ceremony style that mixed beautiful statement floral urns with bespoke paper fans as Order of Service, and a unique sand ceremony, to the edible flowers across canapés. The Bubble Bar for the kids, and the face painter that worked her magic with all manner of floral and botanical inspired designs, this was a wedding and a couple that wanted to enjoy every moment of their big day.

The Dress

With the opulence of Syon Park the bride wanted to have a dress that suited the surrounds so the Peter Langner dress was the ideal choice with it's classic silhouette and delicate lace. The dress was teamed with an embellished sash.

The Venue

The moment the couple visited the venue, they fell in love with it and no venue compared. They loved the contrast of the history of the grand manor house where the ceremony was held, with the natural beauty of the grounds and the Great Conservatory that houses exotic plant life under the most beautiful glass houses.

The Inspiration

Knowing our bride and groom's love of blue, this was the perfect marriage of all shades of blue with the beautiful world of botanicals that lent itself so well to the stunning grounds of Syon Park. Inspired by sun prints, we worked with silhouettes of flowers to create a beautifully organic scene. We took our inspiration from an eclectic mix of materials, and textures to give the couple and guests a rich and memorable experience.

For the Guests

A couple never more mindful of their friends and family, and keeping the children entertained, the day was packed full of experiences for all to enjoy - with us even organising a floristry class for the kids to make floral crowns with Bo Boutique.

Favours, Escort Cards & Cushions

Over two hundred hand painted tiles were made by Knot & Pop, for the most beautiful of painted cookies to lay on. Escort cards were placed upon a bed of foliage, inked in blue, with gorgeous modern calligraphy flourishes by Lamplighter London.

Lounge areas were created with luxurious sofas that contrasted beautifully with wrought iron garden furniture, finished with custom made floral print cushions that now sit pride of place in the couple's home.

The Reception

The Great Conservatory was the most luxurious of settings with tables adorned in custom dyed napkins, bespoke heart favour ceramics, foliage table numbers and a mix of blue and white glass bottles with beautiful flowers. Children were further treated to goody bags to keep them busy, with lots of botanical and garden inspired goodies inside - ladybird yoyos, butterfly finger puppets, flower stickers...

Fun Touches

The fun factor was important to the couple so a photo booth backdrop was made, covered in a mix of blue floral wallpapers, with a prop box housing lots of fun accessories. The guests also enjoyed Marryoke, filmed singing snippets of Pharrell's Happy, to then be edited into a music video for the couple to remember the fun of the day. Creating more memories for the couple, for an alternative guest book, guests wrote on wooden coloured leaves, which were placed into a frame to be put up in the couple's home as a gorgeous keepsake.

From the Bride

From the early morning nerves and getting ready with the girls, to the lovely ceremony and seeing all of our friends and family, and one another for the first time! It was lovely to have a few moments together, just the two of us after the ceremony, to soak it all in. We loved seeing everyone, and each other, smiling from the start of the day right through to the end on the packed dance-floor. When we received the photos back we were able to relive the magic and beauty of the day.

So many beautiful details, right? I love the idea of flower crown making for the little ones, those blue bottle centrepieces are so striking, and isn't that cake just amazing?

Syon Park looks like a pretty special venue too.

Thanks so much to Sarah Gawler, Knot & Pop and of course, Marga & Bikash for sharing their wedding with us.
