Tyler and Bridget met at Canoe Brew Pub, a local Victoria pub, on a cold a rainy October night. "We shared some wine, pizza, and watched the live band...in many ways our wedding was very reflective of the night we met," Bridget says. "Tyler and I are both very down-to-earth and we wanted our day to be reflective of our families and lifestyle."

Kildara Farms was the perfect wedding venue for the pair with its laid-back feel with elegant touches. "We incorporated elements of our life together, such as a family photo table, tables named after places we had travelled to, and our love of music," Bridget says.

It rained during the afternoon of Bridget and Tyler's wedding, but the couple says that one of the best moments was when the rain stopped just long enough to have the ceremony outside in the garden. "Besides being lucky, it made everything that much more memorable," says Bridget.

Another highlight from the day was the food served at the wedding. "Our food was amazing. Choosing Pizzeria Prima Strada imparted a rustic Italian theme, with their super-cool mobile pizza oven, and amazing salads made with local greens and veggies from the farm. Instead of cake we opted for mini pies and Nanaimo bars provided by Ruth and Dean Baked Goods," Bridget explains.

Bridget says that one of the most sentimental and touching details of the day was her bouquet. "It was really unique and even included some blackberries from the farm. My grandad (who passed away just two months before the wedding) loved blackberries and my arrangement made me feel like he was with me on my wedding day," she says.
