After a dismal Easter weekend, I'm so glad to see clear blue skies and sunshine, it's been forever! For this moodboard I found inspiration in the wonder of Spring, the countryside is coming alive with beautiful flowers appearing in gardens and fields accross the country as bulbs and seeds realise winter is finally over and it's their time to blossom. While spring blooms arrive in an array of beautiful colours, they are mainly soft, muted pastels and my favourite tones for some spring wedding inspiration.

Seasonal and sweetly fragranced freesia and hyacinth, lilac and delphinium look stunning arranged as oversize bouquets, as if picked fresh from the fields in the arms of a bride wearing a relaxed 70's inspired wedding dress. I'd pair with maids in short white dreses in lace or broderie anglaise for that relaxed boho vibe. Freshly picked flowers also look wonderful displayed informally in bottles to create a centerpiece that sways gently in the breeze - and if the weather is fair then nothing beats an outdoor celebration with table set in rows among the wild flower meadow. Or for an indoor wedding, how about asking your florist to bring the outside in, and create a hanging meadow above your reception tables?! In keeping with the rustic, simple look I'd pick stationery with rough torn edges and beautiful calligraphy, adding an elegant touch and serve local farm produce on antique platters and boards to complete the elegant, homespun look.
