We drove two hours out from Beijing to embark on a 7km trek along the Great Wall from Gubeikou to Jinshanling West. There are many hike-able sections but as we wanted to experience a wild and unrestored region, this route suited us perfectly. It was challenging at times but worth it for the incredible views over the valley
