Today we’re embracing elegance & sophistication with Cranberry Blue Weddings. This wedding planning and styling consultancy is practically a by-word for stylish!  Working with some of the most talented local suppliers, including photographer Steve Shipman, planner and stylist Melanie has created the most luxurious shoot to inspire you on this Thursday morning!  With a sophisticated charcoal and pink palette (forget blush, this scheme requires a more punchy tone), an abundance of mirrors and sparkle the overall effect is understated opulence with just the right amount of glamour. Love.

There’s something so elegant about tall white dinner candles, flickering away in this decadent display of crystal-laden candelabra.   At the foot of each, a tightly packed dome of roses add luxurious romance, with smaller arrangements, candles and votives adding prettiness and a warm glow at low level and reflecting in mirrored plates and silver-rimmed glassware.  Unusual details, like silver rabbits and glittery silver keys, sit alongside cut-crystal perfume bottles and crystal adorned votives add an unexpected quirky touch.

Melanie says ~

I absolutely love the private dining room at The Langham in London.  I’ve always felt this would provide the perfect backdrop to an elegant and inspirational wedding, so decided to team up with some amazing suppliers to create an inspirational shoot.  The pink interior provided the starting point for the styling, and the inspiration then grew around the title ‘Smoke & Mirrors’.  The focus was on the table set up and the details such as the cake, stationery, reception drinks, sweet table, accessories and flowers.   We used a colour palette of different tones of pink mixed with pewter and silver and included some quirky touches. 

An ornate frame is the perfect way to display a glittering collection of keys directing guests to their seats.

 And what wedding would be complete without a pair of sparkly high heels, a statement cake and gourmet dessert bar?!
