Best of 2015: Our Favourite Real Weddings of the Year

via

Oh wow. This has been the very hardest of our 2015 round-ups to put together!

We adore each and every one of the real weddings we feature here on Bridal Musings. We get invested in the love stories, we swoon over the decor, and we gush about the dresses and the suits.

And as for the photography, well the very best part of our jobs is getting to share the talents of so many incredible photographers all over the world.

So, don't think of today's round-up as the best of our real weddings this year, just think of it as a small taster of the kind of romantic, beautiful, unique weddings we get to share every week.

Matt & Gabby's gorgeous Miami wedding by the awesome Studio 1208, was one very close to our hearts (the couple are friends of Elizabeth's!).

With unparalleled levels of breathtaking decor, glamorous attire, and cool finishing touches, weddings don't get much more epic than this one.

2. Erika & JP

Erika & JP's Americana-themed 4th of July wedding by Sarah Shreves Photography was all kinds of awesome.

A cool California backdrop, bright florals, sweet DIY details, and the coolest photobooth we've ever seen, we know you'll love this wedding, just as much as we did!

3. Francesca & Timothy

It was the venue at Francesca & Timothy's destination wedding in Italy that truly took our breath away, and Facibeni Fotografia captured it perfectly.

Set in a castle in the Umbria countryside, be inspired by their elegant style, thoughtful details, and courtyard supper under the stars.

4. Jess & Mikey

Jess and Mikey's California vineyard wedding by Brittanee Taylor Photography was one of those ones that stands out for months afterwards, (Jess' cross-cross gown was one of our all-time favourites!).

With beautiful Jewish customs, gorgeous decor, elegant style, and of course, stunning photography, check out this wedding and just try not to swoon.

5. Gemma & Tom

Our real bride Gemma and her beau Tom got married, and after following her planning every step of the way, it was our pleasure to share the details of their day, and their gorgeous photographs by Natasha Hurley.

A rustic barn setting, cool craft brews, lots of glittering touches, and elegant style, this wedding was even more special than we hoped it would be.

6. Marcelle & Joseph

There's a whole lot to swoon over, with Marcelle and Joseph's beautiful Tuscan wedding by Divine Day Photography.

Rustic meets luxury, with locally-inspired decor (their herb-laden tablescape was one of our most pinned pictures this year!), stunning style, (Marcelle's Tom Ford gown is just incredible!) and an Italian feast long into the night.

7. Frederik & Karel

If there's one single thing we'll remember about weddings in 2015, it's the fact that in the US, Ireland, and other parts of world, same sex marriage finally became legal.

We were lucky enough to feature a few beautiful same sex weddings on the blog this year, but Frederik & Karel's French weekender was one of our favourites.

Dapper style, an orchard setting, and so much love, fun, and laughter, the beautiful photos by Kasia Bacq capture it all.

8. Lindsay & Brent

Perhaps the most breath-taking backdrop for a wedding we've ever featured on Bridal Musings, Lindsay & Brent married on the shore of Lake Atitlán in Guatamala, and Daniel Lopez Perez Photography was on hand to document it.

With an intimate Mayan ceremony, a gorgeous backless gown, and a beautiful traditional venue, this is the kind of adventurous wedding that anyone with a touch of wanderlust, will adore.

9. Franzi & Dominik

Franzi and Dominik's beautiful barn wedding in Germany by Ashley Ludaescher Photography takes the idea of a DIY wedding to new, dizzying heights.

Creating their very own wedding venue from a barn at Franzi's family's home, check it out for pinata-whacking, balloon toting, Polaroid-taking, prettiness.

10. Jayme & Jeremy

This wedding was such a fun one, Jayme & Jeremy's cool, bohemian bash by Laurie Wilson of From SF With Love.

Music was at the centre of this California wedding, with guitars in hand, dancing all day, and a campfire sing-along after dark. Add gorgeous dresses, wildflower blooms and dreamcatcher decor, and you have the makings of a mini Woodstock wedding.
