David and Kirsty's Wedding story is absolutely vibrant, flooded with natural light in a romantic, lush green, forest setting. The couple were surrounded by their loved ones as they exchanged vows and celebrated their union at Mina's Cafe. The lovely couple were photographed by Duane Smith Photography, their love and happiness illuminated by the setting sun. Kirsty shares their story with us...

I was "living" on my brothers couch while waiting for the transfer to go through on my new place. Dave had become my brothers flatmate during that time. Most nights Dave and I sat on the balcony drinking wine and solving the worlds problems. :)

Dave planned a very special weekend up to Joburg to spend Easter with my family. We arrived at my dads house, to what I thought was an Easter dinner. For some reason, Dave had really dressed up for the occasion and he seemed unsettled, but I thought nothing of it. We had a wonderful starter prepared by my step-mom, after which Dave asked if we could have a photograph in the garden. This gave me wind that something was up! As we were walking toward the garden, the penny dropped and Dave went down on bended knee in front of my family. So special! We all celebrated well into the night!

So many! I think walking in hand-in-hand as Mr and Mrs into our reception area, feeling proud and so happy and in love, seeing how beautiful the venue had turned out and looking around at all our special friends and family that had made the effort to be there to share our day, was probably the most wonderfully overwhelming and memorable moment for me.

Love, so much love, family, friends, food and merriment all equaled a most perfect day.

Do what YOU want to do. Don't let tradition and "must do's" dictate your day, unless of course that is what you want. We followed our hearts and the day was every little bit"us" And it also helps to choose incredible and accommodating service providers! We loved our venue, photog, make-up and hair lady and decor specialist. They made our day stress free and, well.... very very perfect.
