Love and Grace Decor and flowers collaborated with Christopher Smith Photography at the Harmonie Proteas Wedding Venue to create this beautiful Protea Styled Shoot

Being part of this industry, or being a bride-to-be, and someone tells you about a new wedding venue & that this particular venue happens to be a Protea Flower Farm, your heart just can't help to skip a beat with utter excitement! What makes this Protea Farm unique, is that it is situated in Gauteng! And this is where the inspiration for this styled shoot started.

Styled shoots are such an easy & practical way to showcase trending ideas, suppliers & places through a beautiful story of pictures. We decided to ask some of our favourites wedding suppliers in the Gauteng area to help us put together this look.

Our main focus was keeping it simple & achievable, so anyone reading this blog can feel that they too can easily implement some of the ideas & draw lots of inspiration from this.

Since botanical & natural nature elements are such a big trend for this year, we decided to stick with this theme & showcase the beautiful proteas, harvested straight from the venue itself. The venue's rows of protea crops served as an easy & beautiful background.

The décor was put together to complement the natural elements from the farm. We paired the warm hues from the flowers with golds & dark wood, reflecting a warm & romantic atmosphere, also focusing on a warmer palette, especially for brides getting married in the colder months.

The model, Annetjie Hoon's, natural look complemented the whimsical dress, with the bare minimum accessories, showing that less is indeed more.
