The Bride Diaries. Rosie's One Big List - Whimsical Wonderland...

With only 2 weeks to go Rosie has one big wedding to do list. Do you too? With a super fun hen do under her belt and crafting up a storm on her DIY weekends, the count down is on. I just love the completed napkin rings below, so cute. I have a feeling it's going to be one really rather special day :-) xo Lou

Yesterday, I had to force myself to stop thinking about fairy lights. I mean, actually force myself. I had to distract myself by playing Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off" stupidly loudly.

Is this ridiculous or normal wedding practice with just 2 weeks and 1 day to go? Who knows? The great thing about this blog is seeing how other couples handle it all, and it feels like any amount of stress is understandable. I just want to make sure everyone's having a good time.

Since my last entry, I've been on my Hen-do and Elliot has been on his Stag. Both at different times, which was probably wise seeing how we were when we returned! I got whisked away to a week at Prussia Cove in Cornwall with my dearest University friends. They had planned it to a t - there unlimited food, booze, Beyoncé, sea-swimming, walks and a lot of happy chatter. I felt incredibly lucky.

El's Stag was very different but equally as memorable (they have the pictures to prove it). All I am aware of is that they drove up to Scotland, stayed in a lodge, took a trip to Glenfidditch Whiskey Distillery and spent the rest of the time... well... I think I'd rather not know to be honest!

After these beautiful moments, we have been 'confirming' lots of things. I have spent much too long (in my opinion) man-handling the table plan into some kind of organised structure and I have lists coming out of my ears. I keep thinking - "What I need is one BIG list". So I transfer my little lists into one big list, and then I get a bit freaked out by how long it is, or I leave it on a bus (classic Rosie).

DIY weekends are now a regular occurrence. We travelled home to see El's parents last weekend and they knocked it out of the park. 85 napkin rings were made, and huge giant letters wrapped in bright colours. I thought we'd be staying up till the early hours of the 18th September doing this, but they absolutely cracked it. What wonderful people I'm marrying into.

It just so happens that September is a big month for the company I work for, so it's been very busy at home and at work. I'm pretty exhausted, but all of our family and friends have been so wonderful. A really good tip that I would give anyone getting married is to swallow that pride of yours, and hand over some of your to-do list. Whilst the end product might not be exactly the way you imagined it, do accept any help offered. You'll be so grateful those last couple of weeks and it makes you realise just why you're hosting this huge event. It's going to be a right good bash.
