Anna and Scott's beautiful wedding day at River Oaks Garden Club is filled with laughter, delight and some seriously splendid florals. The bride, a florist herself, put her design emphasis on some really show-stopping florals for the garden wedding celebration. From the adorable coral-hued Rifle Paper Co. floral invitations, to the lush tablescapes emphasized with sliced citrus fruits, to the climbing garden roses on a spectacular tiered cake, the colorful floral details are show-stopping kind that we obsess over for days on end. What made the wedding special and unique?

Working on the flowers for my own wedding was something that I'd always envisioned doing, and putting together my own bouquet was a special and unique experience. In addition, we didn't have separate wedding parties, we just had one big group of friends that gathered around us during the ceremony. Another special part of the day was getting ready together. Spending time with one another the morning of the ceremony made the experience more intimate.

What were some touches added to make the wedding personal?

We didn't do a lot of decor or many DIY's, but focused on the flowers and little touches to highlight the already picturesque venue. We had several family members contribute to the day - Scott's brother officiated the ceremony, Scott's dad's band played the reception, and my cousin made the cake! Having our family members contribute in such personal ways is something we will always remember.
